Beaver Scouts
The Beaver section is open to those over 6 years of age and up to their 9th birthday. It’s a fantastic introduction to the world of Scouting, offering a safe and nurturing environment where young minds can explore and grow.
Beaver Scouts are organized into small groups called Lodges, each consisting of around 5/6 members. These Lodges come together to form a larger group known as a Colony. This structure helps young Beavers develop teamwork and leadership skills in a supportive setting.
Beaver Scouts contribute to the programme and have their say in what they would like to do and like to see happening.This is called the Log Chew. The Beaver Programme centres on the individual’s development across the 6 SPICES.

The programme includes:
Exploration: Outdoor activities that encourage a love for nature and adventure.
Games: Fun and interactive games that teach teamwork and problem-solving.
Arts and Crafts: Creative projects that allow Beavers to express themselves and develop their skills.
At Beaver Scouts, the focus is on having fun, making new friends, and beginning a lifelong journey of learning and discovery.
The Beaver Scouts meet weekly on Thursdays from 6:00 pm to 7:00.
Beaver Scouts have in addition to the weekly indoor meetings outings / trips / hikes as well as attending Scout County events and Beaver National Fun days. The highlight of our calendar is our Annual Camp.
Our Beaver Scouts section is guided by a dedicated and experienced team: Tina Finn, Christine Finn, Claire Clerkin, Jia Ma, and Gay Davoren.
